On a Sunday morning in 2010 the historic 1875 Methodist Church was razed to the ground despite attempts to stop the demolition

ACO PEC was formed by a group of citizens following the demolition of two heritage homes at Sandbanks Provincial Park in the summer of 2021. It was determined that there was a need to be proactive.  As well, with the formation of this local branch, the numerous heritage groups have the opportunity to access resources through the ACO.

Our local branch advocates for PEC heritage to all levels of government, while finding ways to support our municipality in its heritage efforts -through resources, education and future projects. 

2022 will be a building year, with efforts focusing on building the branch and collecting data on heritage in PEC.
