Windermere History Project

ACO Muskoka is grateful to have received a Young Canada Works grant to hire a Muskoka student to research and record Windermere's buildings and landscape. Data gathered will create a record of research into the historical buildings and sites in Windermere for walking tours, publication in ACORN, and for a presentation to area residents in August.

EVENT DESCRIPTION:  BIG NEWS! ACO Muskoka has been lucky enough to receive a Young Canada Works grant to hire a Muskoka student to research Windermere's buildings and landscape. The project will be based in the Windermere office of Catherine Nasmith Architect until the end of August, 2019.

Working in partnership with the Muskoka Chautauqua, the research will be used for walking tours, an article in ACORN magazine and a presentation in Windermere after conclusion. ACO Muskoka would like to thank the Windermere Women's Institute Archives for their research support.
