On February 21st, 2023 ACO held its eighth annual Heritage Day, meeting with MPPs from across the province.
Prepared by ACO's Policy Committee and Government and Community Relations Committee, the Heritage Day slide deck highlights the vital role conserving our built heritage and landscapes has to play in combatting climate change, as well as the wide-ranging positive benefits it has for housing, economic growth and tourism.
It also outlines the regressive and damaging changes to heritage in the recently passed Bill 23 that will make it much harder to protect what communities value and treasure.
Included at the end of the deck are useful statistics and an abundance of resource links.
